Stefan (Joss) Joselowitz

Stefan Joselowitz

Chief Executive Officer

Stefan Joselowitz has been successful in several senior management positions over a career spanning 20 years. Specifically, these include Sales Director and later CEO of Shurlok (Pty) ltd.

Joss and his team built Shurlok into the dominant vehicle security company in South Africa.

 

He also successfully developed a European sales and distribution channel for Electromactic (Pty) Ltd. In 1995, Joss put together a funding consortium and launched Matrix Vehicle Tracking.


Richard Bruyns

Chairman

Richard Bruyns' directorship experience spans many industries and achievements. During the past 20 years, Richard has lead companies of 500 – 12,000 employees with annual sales ranging from R 500 million to R 20 billion in the IT, manufacturing, construction, hospitality and consumer goods industries. His experience includes turning one of Africa’s largest operators and managers of high end bush lodges from large losses to strong profitability.

 

Richard is an SA Chartered Accountant and completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard University in Boston.


Riette Botha

Riette Botha

Managing Director – MiX Telematics Africa

Riëtte practiced as an accountant with various companies, before joining Matrix Vehicle Tracking in 1999.

Her career at Matrix Vehicle Tracking has seen her through a variety of positions such as Financial Manager, Financial Director, Chief Operating Officer.

 

She now does an excellent job as Managing Director of MiX Telematics Africa.


Terry Buzer

Terry Buzer

Managing Director - MiX Telematics Europe

Terry Buzer was appointed to the board of Control Instruments in 1987, he joined Control Instruments in 1981, becoming Managing Director in 1984.

 

Terry was involved in all aspects of Control Instruments’ evolution, initially focusing on operational performance and productivity issues and additionally, in the last 10 years, on strategic direction, business start-ups, acquisitions and mergers. When TeliMatrix acquired CI OmniBridge, Terry resigned from the CI board and joined TeliMatrix.

Terry now heads up MiX Telematics Europe and is based in the UK.


Charles Tasker

Managing Director – MiX Telematics International


In 1986 Charles Tasker founded DataPro which was acquired by Control Instruments in 1996. In 1997 Charles joined CI as managing director of their fleet management business which became CI OmnBridge which was acquired by Telimatrix in 2007.

 

Charles is the Managing Director of MiX Telematics International - responsible for global sales, R&D and marketing. Charles is based in Stellenbosch, South Africa.


Tony Welton

Tony Welton

Group Financial Director

Anthony ("Tony") Welton, a CA(SA), MBL (Unisa) brings a wealth of financial and operational expertise to the Group, having been the Financial Director of large, listed companies.

He was Financial Director of both Kohler Limited and Malbak Limited from 1992 to 1999 and 1999 to 2004, respectively. Welton then became a financial consultant for FRM - a business recovery specialist.

He uses his invaluable experience on the MiX Telematics board as Non-executive Director and in chairing MiX Telematics’ Audit and Risk Committee. He will no doubt further strengthen the company’s skilled board.


Robin Frew

Robin Frew

Non-Executive Director

Robin Frew is an investor and non-executive director in various operating businesses including Radiospoor Telecommunications (Pty) Ltd, Hymax SA (Pty) Ltd, Wizzit Payments (Pty) Ltd, Thynk Capital (Pty) Ltd and Thynk Property Fund (Pty) Ltd.

 

Robin’s previous experience includes 15 years with the Radiospoor group, a supplier of cellular and other mobile services, and was the CEO of Radiospoor while it was listed on the JSE between 1997 and 2000.

He has been involved with TeliMatrix since inception.


Afzal Patel

Afzal Patel Managing Director – Kagiso Ventures Ltd and non-executive director of Matrix Vehicle Tracking (Pty) Ltd.

Afzal Patel is the Managing Director of Kagsio Ventures Limited. Afzal obtained a BCom degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1990 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1994 having served his articles with Deloitte & Touche. Afzal was previously a director of Fusion Capital Corporate Finance, a division of Fusion Capital, a company listed on the JSE Securities Exchange. He was involved in a diverse range of corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions activities, particularly in the field of Black Economic Empowerment. He joined Kagiso Group in 2001, and is a director of a vast number of the investee companies in the Kagiso Ventures portfolio.


Richard Friedman

Non-Executive Director

Richard Friedman joined Control Instruments as a director of a subsidiary company in 1981. He became managing director of Control Instruments (Pty) Ltd in 1985 and managing director of Control Instruments in 1986, listing Control Instruments in 1987.
